Philosophy of Teaching
My number one goal as a teacher is to help my students become versatile, independent, and to have fun with their music. I’ve seen so many kids who stop playing the second they stop taking lessons because of two main reasons: they don’t know how to learn independently and they never played the music they like. My philosophy is to introduce my students, young and old, to as many concepts as I can (such as sight reading, learning by ear, and chording) and as many styles as I can as well (pop, rock, classical, jazz, classics, R&B, movie music, etc). I pay special attention to what each student takes an interest in, and nurture them in that direction. No two lessons are the same because no two students are the same.
